Danish renewable energy major Ørsted has agreed to sell a 50% stake in the Hornsea 3 offshore wind farm being planned for a site in the UK North Sea to US private equity investor Apollo. 

France has awarded power deals for more than 950MW of onshore wind capacity in its latest auction, while prices were comparable to recent tender rounds. 

German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex hailed an improving financial performance in its third quarter results after reporting soaring profits and an improved Ebitda margin today  (4 November). 

A Nordex turbine collapsed at a wind farm in north-west Germany, prompting the local mayor to warn against wind power opponents making “unsubstantiated claims” about the fate of neighbouring turbines.

China is extending its lead as the world’s primary renewable energy power with massive wind and solar installations in the first half of 2025, according to new data released by energy consultancy Wood Mackenzie.
